Tiny Tubes, Big Impact: Advancing 3R Principles by Developing Capillary Microsampling LC–MS/MS for the Quantification of CRN04894 in Rat Plasma
Incorporating capillary microsampling (CMS) in preclinical pharmacokinetic (PK) studies aligns with the 3R principles (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement) and reduces animal stress induced by invasive techniques like venipuncture. However, CMS requires a more sensitive LC-MS/MS method for reliable analysis.
In this study, we aim to develop, qualify, and apply a sensitive LC–MS/MS method for quantifying the small molecule CRN04894 in rat plasma using CMS, with the goal of characterizing its PK profile.
